Algiers bombings: 26 killed, 177 wounded

ALGIERS- At least 26 people were killed and 177 others injured in the twin car bomb attacks perpetrated Tuesday in Algiers, according to the Interior Ministry’s latest toll drawn up at 6:00 p.m (GMT+1). The toll reported, regardless three Asians, the death of a Danish national, employee at the United Nations office in Hydra (Algiers). Another UN Senegalese employee died as well, the source added. Moreover, the wounded include eight foreigners including five Asians, two Africans - a Senegalese and a Cameroonian - and a Lebanese woman, also a UN employee. The ministry added that 26 wounded out of 177 were kept at the hospital, whereas the other went back home after receiving medical care.
